WheelWOD Open 17.1 – Recovery Drills
So.. how did the WheelWOD Open 17.1 go for you?
If you’re like most people, your shoulders and back are probably pretty lit up! Make sure you up your recovery strategies over the next few days to be ready in a week to tackle 17.2. Hydration, nutrition including supplements, sleep, meditation, epsom salt baths, compression, stretching/yoga/ROMWOD and physical therapy may be part of that recovery plan.
In addition, movement is key to decrease inflammation, improve blood flow, avoid stiffness, and all sorts of other good things!
Controlled Articular Rotations (CARS), part of the Functional Range Conditioning® system, are a great way to do just that! In the video below, I explain how to perform CARS for both the shoulder and the spine as well as some other exercises to decompress the spine and open up the shoulders.
